The novel tells the story of Manela, who was born in Andorra at the beginning of the 20th century. Through the protagonist’s life journey in Andorra, La Seu and Barcelona, we can trace the evolution and modernization of Andorran society over the past century. A personal and historical story that, through the protagonist, brings us closer to romantic and family love; an ode to friendship and family and a lament over the collapse of communal ties in contemporary society. A novel that has captivated hundreds of readers inside and outside the valleys of Andorra and that allows us to know the radical transformation that this Andorran and Pyrenean territory has undergone in the 20th century.
Autor: Dallerès, Josep Enric
Josep Enric Dallerès (1949) ha dedicat la seva vida a l’ensenyament, l’escriptura i la política, en què ha ocupat diversos càrrecs a l’administració comunal, al Govern andorrà i com a síndic general. És autor de sis poemaris (33 poemes —1974—, Despertar —1976—, Amic —1987—, De tu a tu —1990—, Illalba —1995— i Vuitanta-dos dies d’octubre —2018—), del relat breu Ulls d’aigua (1988), de la novel·la Frontera endins (2007) i d’El caminar d’una vida.
